THREEPEAT CHAMPIONS! The Oak Mountain Eagles defeated Davidson in a penalty-kick shootout for the Alabama 7A high school state championship. Oak Mountain scored first on a Jackson Murphy goal in the first half before Davidson scored with just over 2 minutes to play in the game, sending the game to overtime. Neither team scored in either overtime before Oak Mountain won in penalty kick shootouts, blanking Davidson, 3-0. Jackson Murphy was named tournament MVP, scoring three of Oak Mountain’s four goals in the semifinals and finals.

Oak Mountain has won three consecutive AHSAA 7A State Championships in men’s soccer, winning in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
